The Faculty of Science and Technology at the State Islamic University Raden Fatah Palembang has been actively organizing guest lectures. The recent guest lecture on December 22, 2022, focused on the subject of Marine Ecosystems for the Biology Program. It was led by Mr. Tito Nurseha, S.Pd., M.Si. The guest lecture had the theme “Guest Lecture on Coastal and Marine Ecology,” presented by Putri Lisya Anggraini, M.Si, who is the founder of the Ecosociopreneur Institute.
The enthusiasm of the students during the lecture was evident, especially in the lively Q&A session. The event emphasized how ecotourism can be applied in coastal areas by optimizing marine ecology.
Furthermore, the course content and the guest lecture are closely related to one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically “Life Below Water” or marine ecosystems. In essence, this goal highlights the importance of individual efforts in protecting and sustainably utilizing oceans, seas, and marine resources. This aligns with global efforts to ensure the long-term health and viability of our marine environments
